This small (7 foot long) table in claro walnut was made for a family relocating to Texas from California. The base is assembled with draw-bored mortice and tenon joints with walnut dowels, and the top is attached with a sliding dovetail to allow for more dramatic temperature and humidity changes than are normal in California. The base is dyed black walnut and maple, and the table is finished with satin polyurethane.
